چکیده

A new tris ?-diketonate europium(III) complex [Eu(btfa) 3 Py-Im] ( Eu-1 ) (4,4,4-trifluoro-1-phenyl-1,3-butanedione (btfa) and 2-(2-pyridyl)benzimidazole (Py-Im)] has been synthesized structurally characterized. single crystal X-ray diffraction analysis shows that is octacoordinated the coordination sphere composed of a EuO 6 N 2 core with trigonal dodecahedral (D 2d geometry. The photophysical properties were analysed in detail help experimental PL data theoretical modelling, energy transfer rates calculated, an mechanism proposed for . used as emitting layer (EML) to fabricate organic light diodes (OLEDs). Eight OLEDs, which four single-EML double-EML varying doping concentration, fabricated via thermal evaporation method using EML. Under optimum conditions highly monochromatic bright red emission (CIE x,y = 0.640, 0.311) brightness (B) 896 cd/m , current efficiency (? c 2.26 cd/A, power p 1.92 lm/W external quantum (EQE) 1.6% at very low V turn-on 3.4 was obtained. • Photophysical experimentally theoretical. excellent properties. Pure OLEDs emitter. Device showed improved EL performance than analogous europium complexes.

Photoresponses of ZnO nanobridge devices fabricated using a single-step thermal evaporation method

We have recently reported fabrication of ZnO nanobridge devices using a single-step thermal evaporation method. In this fabrication process, e completely eliminated the need of either any metal catalysts or a ZnO seed layer to synthesize the ZnO nanobridges. As initially postulated, he morphology of an anisotropic crystalline substrate alone defines the growth region to prevent the random growt...

23.2: An Efficient Stacked OLED with Double-Sided Light Emission

An efficient double-sided emitting OLED employing a stacked geometry has been fabricated. It uses a reflective composite silver electrode as the middle reflective layer. It can be used in a passive matrix (PM) driving scheme with independent control of both displays. Superior electroluminescent (EL) performance of the OLED on both (“bottom” and “top”) sides can be easily achieved without interf...

29.3: Very Bright and Efficient Top-Emitting OLED with Ultra-Thin Yb as Effective Electron Injector

Very bright and efficient top-emitting organic light-emitting diodes (TOLEDs) using an ultra-thin ytterbium (Yb) layer capped with a semitransparent Ag layer as the effective electron-injection cathode were demonstrated. TOLED with Yb/Ag cathode exhibited lower operation voltage and higher power efficiency, as compared to the one with commonly used Ca/Ag cathode. With bis(2-phenylpyridine)iridi...

Intense ultraviolet emission from needle-like WO3 nanostructures synthesized by noncatalytic thermal evaporation

Photoluminescence measurements showed that needle-like tungsten oxide nanostructures synthesized at 590°C to 750°C by the thermal evaporation of WO3 nanopowders without the use of a catalyst had an intense near-ultraviolet (NUV) emission band that was different from that of the tungsten oxide nanostructures obtained in other temperature ranges. The intense NUV emission might be due to the local...

Black Hole Evaporation by Thermal Bath Removal ∗

We study the evaporation process of 2D black holes in thermal equilibrium when the incoming radiation is turned off. Our analysis is based on two different classes of 2D dilaton gravity models which are exactly solvable in the semiclassical aproximation including back-reaction. We consider a one parameter family of models interpolating between the Russo-Susskind-Thorlacius and Bose-Parker-Peleg...
